Name three classic board games

How it works

No typing, no waiting. Exactly one tap per round.

  1. Read the task

“Name three operas.” The task appears in large text – readable even from across the table.

  2. Think while the clock runs

Say your answers out loud or count them in your head. You choose how long the thinking time is and how many answers it takes.

  3. One tap

Then tap how many you got right. If you disagree, open the sample answers; often a link leads straight to the matching Wikipedia article.

Ways to play

2,002 tasks in 25 categories – from geography, history and science to music, film and brands, to everyday life, food and kids’ questions.

Solo

Practice on your own. Your hit rate and streaks are tracked, and practice mode brings up tasks from your weak categories more often.

Party on one device

2 to 8 players, the phone gets passed around, points for each player.

Party on Wi-Fi

Everyone plays on their own phone: one opens the room and shows a QR code, the others scan it – with the app or right in the browser, even on an iPhone. All it takes is Wi-Fi or a phone’s hotspot; no internet needed.

On your TV

On Android TV and Google TV, the TV becomes the game board: QR code, task, countdown and whose turn it is – big for everyone. Everyone plays on their own phone.

Your own tasks

Create your own sets and share them by QR code or file – for a classroom, a club or a bachelorette party.

Four languages

Play entirely in English, Spanish, Portuguese or German. App language and task language can be set separately.

Also: a large-text switch, light and dark themes, sound and vibration that can be turned off.

Take a look

  • TV screen: a large QR code to join, next to it the players Emma, Jack, Noah and Mia.
Scan the code and join in
  • TV screen: a task card with the countdown below it; the examples appear once the thinking time is over.
    One task, one timer
  • TV screen: the task with example answers; the player rates on their own phone.
Examples for everyone, rated on your phone
  • TV screen: final ranking of four players with their scores.
    Who named the most?

Who is it for?

Parties

For game night, a birthday or a wedding: everyone plays on their own phone, or everyone looks at the TV. One buys, everyone plays – the full version and theme packs of the device that opens the round cover everyone at the table.

Families

Kids’ questions and operas in the same round: you decide how hard it gets through the number of answers and the thinking time. Large text keeps the task readable from the other side of the table.

Classrooms

Create your own sets for a lesson and share them by QR code – no accounts, no student data. A classroom mode by grade and subject is available when the app is set to German.

What’s free – and what costs

Questions

Do I need the internet?

No. Every task lives inside the app. For a party on Wi-Fi, a shared Wi-Fi network or a phone’s hotspot is enough – no internet connection required.

Is there an iPhone version?

The app is for Android: phones, tablets, Android TV and Google TV. In a Wi-Fi party, iPhones can still join – they scan the QR code and play in the browser. The round has to be opened by an Android device with the app.

Does everyone at the table have to buy something?

No. In a Wi-Fi party and on the TV, the full version and theme packs of the device that opens the round count for everyone: one buys, everyone plays.

Does the app collect data?

No sign-up, no account, no ads, no trackers. Your stats stay on your device; to take them with you, back them up to a file yourself. The details are in the privacy policy (in German).

I got a new phone. Are my purchases gone?

No. Purchases are tied to your Google account. On the new device, “Restore purchase” brings them back.

The devices can’t find each other on school Wi-Fi. What now?

Many school, hotel and guest networks keep devices apart. Turn on the hotspot of the phone that opens the round and connect everyone to it.

A sample answer is wrong. Where do I report it?

Write to kontakt@wunderkammer-apps.de – ideally with the exact wording of the task.
